Profile Plan Expiration

VEO Design Studio has the ability to end access to Option Pricing for your buyer prospective after a set number of days. This ability was designed to block those prospective buyers that never contract with you and don’t need access to builder data.

Your division gets to decide what the default number of days will be, then you get to customize how many additional days your prospective buyer can have access to Option Pricing. Most builders choose anywhere from 14 to 21 days.

If you are working with a prospective buyer and you set them up in VEO, they will be allowed to access our Option Pricing app for that allotted number of days from the day the New User Registration step was completed to create them in VEO. Once that day arrives, your buyer will not see the Option Pricing button on page two of their dashboard. They will need to contact you, their Sales Counselor to gain access again.

  • We here at BuildOn Technologies will manage your division settings. When you first create a prospective buyer in VEO, that default date setting will be applied to your buyer’s Option Pricing access and the countdown starts then.

You will need to either find out from your sales manager as to what the default day count is, or you can email us at support@veodesignstudio.com.

  • As soon as your buyer passes the default expiration date, (or the extended date(s)), our Option Pricing or Product Catalog apps, (depending which one your builder uses), will disappear from their dashboard on page 2 as seen in the images below.

The Option Pricing app is located on page 2 of the homebuyer dashboard. This is the view when your buyer has access before the expiration date has passed.

Once the expiration date has passed, the Option Pricing app button will disappear from the homebuyer dashboard on page 2.

How do I extend the expiration date?

If your buyer has gone past the expiration date, the first thing to do is to decide how much longer you want to give them access.

We leave that decision to you.

After that:

  1. Impersonate your buyer. To learn more in Impersonation, click here — User Impersonation (this link will open in a new tab)

  2. Go to the Edit Profile Screen of your buyer.

  3. Look on the far-right side of you buyer’s profile plan and you will notice a date and it may be colored green and state that it is expired.

  4. Click on the date to display a calendar.

  5. Select the new expiration date of your choosing. You can now deicide on any number of days from this point. You can click on today’s date or any date in the future.

  6. Let your buyer know that you have extend the date to whatever you have decided on.

  7. If you are done with the buyer after this, remove Impersonation.

FAQ’s

Q - What happens if my buyer contracts before the original expiration date?
A - If your buyer has contracted with you and you have completed the Register Contract step already, your buyer will be fine and not notice any disruption in VEO usage. Completing the Register Contract step will automatically remove the expiration date limitation and they will have access to all VEO apps until their design appointments have been marked “Completed.” At this point, your buyer will only have access to the Wish List and Product Performance and Care apps.

Q - How many days can I extend to my buyer?
A - You can select any number of days you believe will fit.

Q - How many times can I extend Option Pricing access to my buyer?
A - There is no limit to how many times you can extend access to your prospective buyer.

Q - Can my buyer still sign into VEO after the expiration date has passed?
A - Yes, they can still sign into VEO. The only thing that happens is that the Option Pricing app button will disappear from their dashboard. This is designed to drive them back to you so you can keep in contact with them and be on top of what is going on in their decision making process.

Q - Is there a limit to how long my buyer can be locked out before gaining access again?
A - No, there is no limit of time from when their original plan expiration to when you would like to extend it. You can do this at any time after the original expiration. Since Option Pricing is a live look into the database, when you extend the access will show the latest data to your buyer. The only possible issue will be if that plan is no longer available, and the data is no longer there for it.

Q - My builder/division allows a time frame that does not work for some of my specific buyers. Can I go in and instantly alter the time my prospect has access to Option Pricing after I complete the New User Registration step?
A - Yes you can. Once your prospect is created, you can immediately go to the Edit User Profile screen and change the expiration date to either an earlier or later date than the default.

Q - Can we change the default day count setting to a different number?
A - You do not have access to that, but we can do that for you. We would like for your sales manager to let us know of the update, or at least see that they are copied on the email, so we can be assured that everyone in your division is aware of the change. When you decide on a new number of days, you can send us an email at support@veodesignstudio.com letting us know what you want to do. Please let us know your builder's name and city/division when contacting us. We will reply to you once it is complete.

Q - If we change our day count, how does it affect existing prospects?
A - If you change a day count, it will not affect any existing prospects. Their original day count will stay as is when they were originally set up in VEO. Only brand new prospects create after the change was made will see the latest default day count.
