Creating a Contracted Buyer in VDS

 

This training page will explain everything you need when your builder allows you to give VEO Design Studio access to only contracted buyers. This means the only preview of VEO for your buyers before contract is when they see you working with it in your model.

If your buyer id contracting on a “SPEC” home, then they should not be entered into VEO Design Studio. VEO access is only for those buyers that are starting on a dirt lot.

Quick Start Steps

  • To get a newly contracted buyer in to VEO Design Studio, please follow these steps…

    Required information that you need to have on hand:

    1. An email for your main buyer.

    2. Their first and last name.

    3. A contact phone number.

    4. The community, series and plan that they are purchasing.

    5. The address of the new home, city, state and zip

    6. The contract date

  • When using VEO Design Studio, it is important to let your buyers know what is coming up and the homework they should do. Here are the points to let your buyer know about before they gain access to VEO Design Studio…

    1. Let them know that at contract, you are going to set them up in VEO and you will spend a few minutes with them on how some things work in it. 10 to 20 minutes is common among our sales users.

    2. At contract, set them up in VEO by following the steps found later on this page.

    3. Open a new tab on your browser and go to your VEO website; have them sign in with their email and have them set their password.

    4. Using the VEO Sign-In Card (info below) have them fill out their email and password that they just set.

    5. Show them where Design My Home is on page two of their dashboard.

    6. Spend some time to teach them how to use it.

    7. Send them home to play. VEO is cloud based so any work they started at your computer is automatically saved. When they get home and sign in, all of their work will be available.

  • This suggestion is optional but highly recommended for every “To Be Built” or “Dirt” buyer.

  • This entire process should take you less than 5 minutes when you have all of the above information ready.

    1. Sign into VEO Design Studio.

    2. Go to New User Registration.

    3. Fill out the email and name fields

    4. Select the community, series and plan that your buyer is purchasing.
